Timberix™

Timberix™ timber panels reduce echoes by trapping and diffracting sound in the grooves and perforation found on the surface. The sound that passes through the perforation is further absorbed by an acoustic substrate such as fibreglass or mineral wool, which reduces reverberation of the space.

Frequently Asked Questions

Timberix™ offers a diverse range: grooved wood panels, perforated wood panels, micro-grooved wood panels, micro-perforated wood panels, ribbed/slotted wood panels, and panel variants with acoustic substrates behind them. These acoustic wood panels are designed for both aesthetic appeal and effective sound control.

Microgrooved panels use fine slats and grooves to diffuse and scatter sound waves, reducing echoes and improving overall sound clarity. Perforated or micro-perforated panels use precision-drilled holes that allow sound to pass into a backing acoustic substrate, which absorbs the sound energy. This reduces reverberation and improves acoustic comfort.

Timberix™ panels are typically made from engineered wood such as MDF. They may be finished with veneer, melamine, paint, or laminate. For acoustic effectiveness, the timber panel is backed with an acoustic substrate such as mineral wool or fiberglass before installation.

Timberix panels are suitable for walls or ceilings depending on the space and acoustic needs. For example, grooved or perforated wood wall panels help in meeting rooms, auditoriums or offices where echo and reverberation is a problem. Ceiling installations using these panels also help reduce overall room noise, especially in large or open spaces.

Yes. Because Timberix combines acoustic function with high-quality wood finishes and precise joinery, the result is a balance of performance and visual elegance. These acoustic wood panels can complement modern interiors while delivering sound absorption, diffusion, and noise reduction.
